Emergency Baby Funds
The cash we collect during the Baby Diaper Drive is for our Baby Emergency Fund. Homeward Bound case managers approve the use of these funds to purchase eyeglasses, special dietary products (i.e. soy milk or special formula), car seats, strollers, medical, dental and mental health services, and now childcare subsidies. The State of Arizona has made significant budget cuts, and DES has drastically reduced the number of children eligible to receive childcare assistance. There are absolutely no other funds available in Homeward Bound's budget to meet these special yet critical needs. The moms and children appreciate each gift and every dollar provided from this fund.
More families are falling into the economic abyss they never imagined for themselves or their children. The cost of basic needs continue to rise, as well as unemployment and the challenges many families are facing. As these numbers hit a staggering new level, many families cannot make ends meet. This fund is critical to support them when setbacks and emergencies happen. Please donate whatever amount you can and help us reach our goal of $75,000 in Emergency Baby Funds!
100% of any donation you make goes directly to the families at Homeward Bound. Homeward Bound is a 501(c) (3) organization and all donations are tax deductible. Donations also qualify for the Arizona Working Poor Tax Credit.
