About our Drive!
The Annual Baby Diaper Drive helps families served by Homeward Bound, which assists homeless and domestic violence families with children throughout Maricopa County. Most of the families served can’t cover the essentials of diapers, wipes, baby formula and more. Food stamps don’t cover most baby necessities. The Baby Diaper Drive fills the gap by collecting months of emergency supplies and cash donations
Donate online or mail a cash donation and help us collect much needed emergency baby funds to assist working Moms and their families. Checks can be made payable to: Homeward Bound, c/o Allegra Print & Imaging, 3639 N. Marshall Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
Diapers Make A Difference
At Homeward Bound a young mother was seen walking out of the lobby carrying her 18-month-old son and a package of diapers in her arms. She had tears in her eyes. These diapers meant she could now go to work. This mom had just recently found a job; however, she risked losing it because she did not have enough diapers to leave at daycare for her child. Daycare requires a supply of ten diapers per day and she didn’t have enough money to purchase diapers until payday – four days later. Sometimes the smallest things, like a package of diapers, can make the biggest difference in a person’s life. She was filled with gratitude for the diapers, which had been an obstacle in maintaining a job, now she is able to begin her journey to self-sufficiency.
Diapers Help Fill Budget Gaps
With the help from her Homeward Bound case manager, a young mother with two small children was able to adjust her monthly budget and use money she had designated for diapers to make a needed repair on her vehicle. Without a working vehicle to get to work she was risking losing her job. She then was able to use diapers collected during the Diaper Drive to tie her over until the next month. For this mom, the couple of packages of diapers meant keeping her job, and keeping her children in daycare.
